Released in April 26th, 2022, Thawfest Event returned to campus with 19 new prizes and the Zipplewraith (17000 File:Thawfest medal.png). The same methods still applied, with old Dailies, Stable Missions, and Dragon Tactics returning.
How to Play
The Event is easier said than done, as the purpose is to gather as many Medals as possible before the end of the Event. There are various ways of gathering Medals, which include the main minigames like Thunder Run Racing and Battle Events as well as the return of Daily Quests.
Rewards
When the player reaches the reward's Medal requirement, the reward will be awaiting under the Thawfest Event's menu, symbolized by the glowing Medal icon; the Medal gained won't be exchanged for the prize, instead the Medal progress will remain intact. The rewards vary from Clothing to Battle Equipment, all leading up to the elusive Zipplewraith Egg, and neither of the rewards can be denied, the player must claim the reward in order to continue.
There's a total of 19 Prizes to achieve till the Zipplewraith, ranging from Clothing to Battle Equipment, including an exclusive Speed Stinger Dragon Armor. Each had their own requirements that increase as the bar goes on and they will be awaiting to be claimed once the requirement has been achieved.
Tips for earning Medals (without gems)
Most of the minigames available only give their rewards once or few times a day (like the maze and Dragon Tactics) or are anyway limited by the time they need to complete (like stable missions).
The unlimited options (if we exclude purchasing chests) are:
- Farming sheep and chickens. However, these animals cost gems and are expensive, not only to acquire them, but also to feed, as they require 2 feed each time. So in general, unless you already have event animals, it's not an efficient way to obtain medals;
- Battle Events are probably the easiest way to earn gems consistently, but they need a lot of time. The occur once an hour, so you need to organize your time well in order to participate in as many as possible each day.
However, this Thawfest has an interesting new features: event-limited armor pieces (Thawfest Screaming Death armor) and weapons (Epic Seastormer Axe, Bork the Bold's epic Sword and Gobber's Boot of Doom) can drop from the Dragon Tactic levels, and can be exchanged for a good amount of medals (120-400). All these items are epic rarity, meaning they are not really powerful gameplay-wise, so the can be exchanged without a big loss. Moreover, the Thawfest dragon tactic levels are low difficulty, meaning you can complete them over and over again in a little time. The drop rate is randomized, so some days might require more runs than others to get a drop.
So, for time management, it might be more beneficial to drop some of the minigames that gives low outcomes (like farming, maze,...) and focus on just a few, like daily quests and DT, to earn more medals in the same time.
